Neurodivergence, 2014

IMMERSIVE INSTALLATION
Dimensions variable

Neurodivergence is an immersive installation that explores neurocognitive experiences that diverge from dominant neurotypical frameworks. An adulthood diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1 (ASD1) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) necessitated a process of relearning how to engage with the world in ways that prioritise sustainability, well-being, and self-regulation over chronic burnout. Gaining a conceptual and experiential understanding of my neurocognitive differences facilitated a deeper sense of self-acceptance and appreciation.
