City of Eridu, was inspired by the oldest city in the world Eridu (Abu Shahrein, Iraq) founded in 5400 BC. Eridu represents the creation of the world, the building of cities and the great flood. The oldest recorded flood story is the Eridu Genesis, starring Noah’s counterpart Ziusudra (Sumerian) or Atrahasis (Akkadian) as the Mesopotamian hero. It was home to Enki, the god of creation, and water, it is also where Inanna travelled in order to receive the gifts of civilisation.
